A well-defined intensely enhancing mass lesion is noted occupying right supra-hyoid and infra-hyoid carotid spaces. Mild restricted diffusivity noted. Suggestion of faint calcific foci noted within.
The lesion splays the carotid artery bifurcation with displacement of ECA lateral and anteriorly and ICA lateral and posteriorly vessels – Lyre sign. No occlusion/thrombosis noted.
The IJV is compressed and displaced laterally. No obvious thrombosis noted.
Multiple small vascular channels noted within as well as surrounding the mass lesion extending along carotid spaces.
The lesion extends from the level of C2 to C5 vertebrae. It displaces the submandibular gland anteriorly, sternocleidomastoid laterally, parapharyngeal space medially and prevertebral muscles posteriorly.
