3 primary+3 secondary = 6 per batch
What are the usual working hours?
Working hours are from morning 8 am to evening 6/ Morning 10am to night 8pm.
It is about 10 hours every day.
Sunday/ one week day is holiday.
How frequent do you get emergency duty/24 hour duties? Is there any post duty ""off""?
Monthly 4 or 5 night duties. Post night off is there, but on night duty we need to report CT and MRI and can leave the hospital after settling the reports with consultants.
What do you do as 1st year, IInd year and IIIrd year?
A lot of USG, CT and MRI exposure
Enough of OBS usg you can do, especially if u are a female you will get more postings in obstetric ultrasound.
Rotations- There is no fixed rotation. It all depends on our luck. For me, every alternate month I had USG and then CT,MRI. We get alternate month in CT and MRI during 5-8pm timing. But if there is shortage in one modality we have to go there and work. Secondaries get more time in CT and MRI and less time in Fluroscopy
The only problem in KIMS Is you won’t get time for reading and family.
Is there any useless work for residents?
