9)What do you do as 1st year,IInd year and IIIrd year?
9.when i was there we had a unique rotation of 15days for each modality(general usg, anc + ipd patients usg, CT& MRI, and X-rays). One pg from each batch is always posted in one modality so that made daily reading a necessity. It helped me a lot. Night duties every fourth day kept us in touch with all modalities throughout 3 years.

CT/MRI:1st year will take history and help in typing, 2nd year will make provisional reports of most cases but will be assisted by 3rd year pg in difficult cases.
General USG: most of the times 2nd does the scans, 3rd year monitors and 1st year will type cases and will perform cases when the load is moderate. 1st year however is shown most of the findings in cases and Pgs discuss among each other. Staff will help in complicated cases.

11)What are the different modalities available?
11.a)X-ray:2 CR, 1DR, 1portable, 2 fluoroscopy units(one has digital video storage) workload- 100/130 x rays, 2-3 procedures a day(More of RGU,MCU, HSG and few barium studies)
b)USG-total there are about 4 machines exclusively for radiology, one for OT, 2 in the obg dept. students use all these machines depending on their postings and also night duties n bedside n labour room calls. USG workload general : 30-40 (doppler -one or two) ANC:15-20 IPD:8-10
c)Elastography is available- yes
d)Mammography available - yes
e)CT- one machine 16slice with FFS(Flying focal spot) Siemens, 10-15 brain scans, 7-8 body scans
f)MRI-1.5 T GE newly installed, we had 1.5T phillips achieva, 10-15 cases, 1-2 pelvis cases, no abdominal MRI, MRCP and MSK MRI (knee, shoulder, spine, hip and very rarely wrist, elbow n ankle)case are done however.
g.Interventions- USG guided-PCN,Liver abscess drainage, Thyroid,Liver, Lymphnode biopsies. TRUS guided prostate biopsy(i had the scope to learn with help of urosurgery residents) CT guided lung biopsy we got to observe only 2-3 cases in whole residency.

17)Anything you have to say about the city in which your college located ( example - pune is a great place for people seeking adventure games, trekking, alot of good restaurants around, climate is good)

19)Yes i am happy because i could learn the basic radiology essential atleast for survival. The work culture was very good.
