8)What do you do as 1st year,IInd year and IIIrd year?  

1ST YEAR-history taking of CT/MRI cases, typing USG reports,doing simple USGS(HEALTH CHECKS), REPORTING MRI SPINE, CT brain,KUB and PNS plain study,Special procedures,X-rays

2nd year –MRI Brain,WHOLE BODY MRI’S ,CT THORAX,CT KUB CONTRAST STUDIES,CT HEAD &NECK ,DOPPLERS,ANC SCANS EXCEPT ANOMALIES.

3RD YEAR- ALL MODALITIES,ANOMALY SCANS,DOPPLERS,CT/MRI ANGIO

10)Is there any useless work for residents? 

YES ,Staying outside console taking history and typing our own USG reports.

Filling PCPNDT forms.

11)What are the different modalities available? 

a)XRay(no of machines), (number of xray in a day)- conventional/CR/DR- 3 MACHINES , more than 300 x-rays in a day both CR & DR.

b)USG- no of machines- 6 machines ,1 portable, more than 100,obs approx. 8-10

c)Elastography- Was temporarily available for a month

d)Mammography - available -yes 

e)CT machine – 

No - 1 machine,  Siemens ,128 slices ,

Cases per day -  ~30 cases per day, 11-15 brains 

f)MRI-

 1 machine,philips achieva 1.5 tesla,30-32 studies in a day,yes MRCP abdominal MRI,MSK is performed.

g)Interventions –

-Not very keen on interventions so never tried anything beyond FNAC

12)How much is the stipend for Ist year, iind year and IIIrd year? 

No Stipend…Officially they pay 28,ooo1st year ,29000 2nd year and 31000 3rd year but unofficially we need to return back everything before thesis submission.

12)Is there any compulsory bond service? – 

Yes for KCET students 

13)How is the faculty? Any superspecialists? faculty with fellowships? 

Faculty is ok.. yes interventional radiologists there as well as fellowships also.

14)How  frequent are seminars/pgp?

 Very frequent, everyday basis.

15)How is the accomaodation? 

No idea as i was a day scholar but heard its horrible mess.

16)Anything you have to say about the city in which your college located 

Bangalore is ever good for its climate-garden city.
