8 hours duty in shifts. Evening shift person continues to do night duty.

How frequent do you get emergency duty? is there any post duty ""off""?
6-7 per month. Yes we get post night duty off.

What do you do as 1st year,IInd year and IIIrd year?
It is 1 month each in usg and CT/MRI rotation wise. Primary DNB residents get more time to spend in cross sectional( CT /MRI) imaging.

We don’t have obs( fetal ) imaging in the department.

Interventions – Residents are posted in interventions. Mostly observation with very little hands on.

No

What are the different modalities available?
Xray, USG.

CT machine -  128 slice Philips.

MRI- 1.5 T seimens. 

We do around 20 - 30 CT and MRI each per day. We also get to see many cross sectional cases through teleradiology.

Interventions.

How much is the stipend for Ist year, iind year and IIIrd year?
For secondary 33k and 36k after taxes.  You can file IT return.

It is a good place, especially for cross sectional imaging as you are posted in the other Columbia hospitals in Bangalore and get to see those cases too.

Our hospital also run teleradiology service, so we will be receiving many cross sectional cases all the time.
