We get emergency duty / 24 hour duty depending on the number of students. Alternate day or every 3rd or 4th day. There is no post duty off.

1st year primary : Does all fluoro guided procedure, does all preliminary xray, CT and MRI reports.
IInd and IIIrd year primary and Ist and 2nd year secondary does provisional CT and MRI reporting.
USG posting is there one week each month but you don’t get to do it, as PCPNDT rules are strict.

What are the different modalities available?
a)XRay(no of machines), (number of xray in a day)- 3, 100 xray per day. CR and portable xrays.
b)USG- no of machines - 3, no of examinations done-40, no of obs usg done-10 to 15.
c)Elastography- available - No
d)Mammography - available – yes- 2 to 3 per day.
e)CT machine – 1 philips 128 slice. 5 to 6 brain and 30 body scans per day.
f)MRI- 1 siemens machine, strength – 3 tesla, 25-30 studies done in day, they perform 10 brain, 10 spine, spectroscopy/perfusion, angiography, 1-2 MRCP, abdominal and pelvis MRI, Fistulogram, MRI breast, brachial plexus and MSK(Knee, shoulder, ankle, foot) MRI’s.
g)Interventions – CT guided biopsy- done by interventional radiologist – we get to observe if interested.
