Wahat is the cut off rank for your college?
I picked it from last mid year june session of DNB CET back in 2018..with a rank of 155..UR category, at the time there were no categories and closing rank for the institute was 209….since 4 years down the lane scenario has been changed with common MD/DNB counselling, still the institute is picked up early within 5k ranks.

3 post MBBS, 4 post diploma.
What are usual working hours?
Working hours depend on your ability and zeal to learn, generally 8am to 5pm, but first year upto 8pm.
How frequent do you get emergency duty/24hours duties?is there any post duty off?
First years post MBBS are always under supervision till 6-7 months, no individual night calls, always assisted by someone, post dipoma can get their call individually, its usually one call a week and one Sunday a month, no post call off.
What do you do as 1st year, Iind year and IIIrd year resident?
There is no work demarcation in first, second or third years, there is complete freedom to report everything as the institute has all the modalities, but basics first so USG and xray in first 6 months, together with CT head trauma reporting within 3 months.
MRI lumbar spine and brain reporting hence forth after 7-8 months, you have to work and study in all years..its not that your are third year so you are free.
Is there any useless work for residents?
No. We only do radiology work, but since you are part of institution, so they will make you do covid duties, some general OPDand casualty duties twice or thrice in a year for like one week.
What are the different modalities?
USG : Samsung RS80, HS 40, sonosite portable. OPD 80-120 and doppler being 8-10 with obstetrics cases per day being 5-10.
Elastography : Breast, liver thyroid available.
Mammography : GE alpha RT machine available with dedicated DCE MRI breast under the supervision of HOD is also done(Good breast imaging and reporting in the department).
CT : One 6 slice siemens, one 128 slice Hitachi scenaria MDCT..case load is 15 body and 30 CT head with variable CT thorax according to COVID.
MRI : 1.5T GE, 12-15 MRI each day. Comprises mostly spine, brain, MSK and pelvis.
Interventions we get non vascular USG guided aspirations, FNAC, biopsy, mostly in third year
Cath lab is here but then intervetntional procedures are lacking here…but its no big deal..its
just and add on..be good in diagnostic first.

4 members. HOD is female, very learned and academically proficient..MD FICR and proficient in breast imaging.
How frequent are seminars /pgp?
Case presentation, seminars and journal reviews once a week with internal asessement exam every month.
How is the accomadation?
You will get 2 BHK partially furnished quarter in SAIL township here.
For girls its nearby within 500 meteres and for boys its 2km away.
2 people in each quarter upto 1.5 years then there in campus accomadation in the DNB hostel, where there are single rooms.
Mess is in campus only, food is also good. You have to spend some money in getting your flats furnished, because its all a government setup after all.
Anything you have to say about the in city in which your college located?
Bhilai as a city is very quite, people are very helping, not much of attractive recreation spots. But then raipur is 40km from bhilai which is the capital you can very well go there.
Food in bhilai at all places is good..the institute is in an area which is lush green and very soothing.

I am content and satisfied and extremely proud to be a part of this institution..ups and downs are always there but will definitely earn a lot of respect here and that what matters to me.
Pertaining to radiology this institution is 8/10 as you have everything which require to be a radiologist here.
