MRI RIGHT ANKLE
Protocol: Sagittal, axial and Coronal T1 and T2 Wt sequences. Coronal T2 Wt IRFSE sequence.
Post cartilage repair status.
OBSERVATIONS:
Bones:
There is filling of the defect site along the medial talar dome with a fragment measuring ~9x5x3mm.Minimal STIR hyperintensity seen within the fragment (edema)
Minimal underlying marrow edema noted.
There is thin irregular T2 hyperintense cartilage cover seen over the fragment.
Distal tibia and fibula are normal. Rest of the tarsal bones are normal.
Joints: Subtalar and other intertarsal joints appear normal.
Ligaments:
- Anterior tibio talar ligament: No tear.
- Posterior tibio talar ligament: Low grade sprain seen. Fibres are intact.
- Anterior talofibular ligament: No tear.
- Posterior talofibular ligament: No tear.
- Calcaneofibular ligament: No tear
- Syndesmotic ligaments: No tear.
Tendo-achilles is normal in size and show normal signal intensity.
Muscles and tendons: Flexor, extensor and peroneal group of tendons are normal.
Neurovascular bundles: Normal.
Plantar fascia is normal.
IMPRESSION: H/O Osteo chondral Defect along the medial talar dome….
