Moderate sized lobulated mass lesion is noted in the sella – suprasellar region with following details:
1. It measures 24mms (CC) x 22mms (Trans) x 19mms (AP) dimensions.
2. The pituitary gland is not separately seen.
3. Superiorly, it is extending up to suprasellar cistern. No impingement on the floor of the 3rd ventricle / optic chiasma.
4. Inferiorly, the sella is widened. The lesion is causing thinning of the floor of sella & bulging into the sphenoid sinus, more so towards right side.
5. Laterally, on right side, the lesion is encroaching into the cavernous sinus and partially encasing cavernous segments of right internal carotid artery over an arc of 120 degrees.
6. Anteriorly on right side it is seen abutting the supra-clinoid segment of right ICA.
7. Posteriorly, it is limited by the posterior wall of the sella. No infiltration of basilar artery. No mass effect on the brain stem.
Cerebral parenchyma shows normal signal intensity.
