Pancreas:Pancreatic parenchyma appears bulky and heterogenous with head, body and tail measuring 35mm, 29mm and 31mm respectively. The main pancreatic duct is normal.
There is a peripherally enhancing, fluid attenuating, loculated collection of mean HU 12 measuring 84x92x12mm(apxtrxcc) the collection is seen tracking along the perisplenic region, gastrosplenic ligament , gastroduodenal ligament of the lesser omentum(lesser sac) and left paracolic gutter with extensive fat stranding noted in the adjacent peritoneum. Wall oedema of adjacent stomach and descending colon noted.
The collections is also seen tracking along retroperitoneal fascial planes with thickening of the anterior pararenal(Gerota\'s) and latero-conal fascia on the left side. Mild fluid noted in the left perirenal region.
The 2nd part of the duodenum is compressed. No evidence of splenic artery/vein thrombosis/aneurysm.
Impression
Features suggestive of acute pancreatitis
Left sided pleural effusion - Modified CTSI score _6
